Senate Approves Medicare Bill to Delay, Reform BiddingJuly 10, 2008 - Source: AA HomecareIn a decisive 69-30 vote today, the U.S. Senate approved the Medicare package, H.R. 6331, which contains an 18 month delay and reform of competitive bidding in addition to the adjustment to physicians' pay in Medicare. According to a rule for the vote, the successful cloture vote also serves as a vote in favor of the bill itself. The bill now goes to the President who will either sign or veto the bill.
