DALLAS – Last week we shared reactions to the first Medtrade to ever take place in Dallas. The positive vibes were numerous, and the sentiments speak to a consensus; if you missed it, you missed a lot.
The specific time and place for Medtrade 2024 is March 26-28 right back at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas. If you couldn’t make it to the show last week, check out part two of our Heard At Medtrade series.
“I’m very excited about Medtrade coming to Dallas. I went to the Ty Bello Sales Boot Camp and Ty was energetic, knowledgeable, and had great information to share. It was definitely not a waste of time. We are here looking for new cash sale ideas and we are on our way to finding that.” — Katrina Burden, TMC Medical Supply, Dennison, Texas
“Medtrade has been phenomenal, with much more foot traffic than last year in Atlanta. Day one’s interactions were way better than anything we’ve done in a long while. I don’t know what you guys did, but this show has been incredible.” — Jon Lee, Unify Medcraft, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio
“This show in Dallas has had a great turnout and people are very happy. The show seems to be getting bigger and better. We spend a lot of money to be here at Medtrade and we find that it is worth it.” — John Burns, Vive Health
“Medtrade has been good and we’ve collected a lot of hot leads. There are a lot of movers and shakers in Texas who we normally don’t get to see. The industry is starting to come back. They are learning to deal with competitive bidding.” — Jacqueline Harrison, Advanced Orthopaedics, Harleysville, Pennsylvania
“Day one of Medtrade was fantastic. We were on attendees’ radars because our brand name is becoming more well known. The people who dropped by our booth were serious for the most part. Medtrade is worth the trip. I really like that it’s one show per year. Our budget is squeezed, so we are looking to be at shows that offer the most value, and again it’s been worth it to come to Medtrade.” — Jim Jeffrey, Darco, Huntington, West Virginia
“This is my third time at Medtrade and I really like that it’s in Dallas and it’s once per year. Out on the floor we are looking for new products, mainly portable oxygen concentrators. We’re also looking for lift chairs, stair lifts, compression socks, and bathroom aids.” — John Martin, Grant County Medical Equipment, Ulysses, Kansas
“I’m a first-time Medtrade attendee. I came here looking for home accessibility products and to learn. So far the education has been excellent, particularly a session about preventing ransomware attacks, which was really well done. I’ll be looking for ramps and stair lifts and many other products. My wife is here and we are extending the trip and going to Galveston for a vacation. I came here all the way from Canada, and I’m glad I made the trip.” — Ron Seiderer, Living Well HME, Ontario, Canada
“I came to Medtrade with high optimism and I have not been disappointed. It’s great to see people and get the hugs and hand shakes. Foot traffic is heavy out there. I could not get near the Golden Technologies booth on the first day of Expo, but I have gotten to see all my friends. By the way, the Medtrade Meet feature helped to keep my day organized.” — Faisal Poonawala, general manager, Spring Branch Medical Supply, Houston
“I’ve had multiple visits to Medtrade. People are hungry to hear what’s coming in our industry because we have all been hit so hard by reduced reimbursements—mostly due to competitive bidding. What’s going on with the bid these days? There are so many questions. I’m finding answers at Medtrade, but I’m also finding out the right questions to ask. Fortunately, there is hope.” — Angela Austin, HME Quality Consulting, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
“This is my first time at Medtrade and the show has been great. I have enjoyed the educational sessions, mostly about audits. It has all been useful stuff, especially a session about the public health emergency (PHE) ending. I had a chance to get to the show floor this morning and there were a lot of vendors, more than I expected. My friend thought that there were way more vendors than last year. I took a five-hour flight to get here, with a connector, flight, and it has been worth it.” — Shelly Bradstreet, Bedard Pharmacy & Medical Supplies, Auburn, Maine
“I have been to five or six Medtrades and this venue is great, really easy to get to. Attendance seems a lot higher than years past and there have been really full classes. I have been hearing a lot of good things about the show.” — Sara Cruz, Nationwide Medical, Calabasas, California
“We’ve been able to see everyone we wanted to see. There are convenient restaurants here in Dallas. There are more reasons to come to Medtrade now that it is only one show per year. The great thing about Medtrade and trade shows in general is that we have the opportunity to speak with people in person and this face-to-face networking has real value.” — David Schaer, Computers Unlimited, Billings, Montana
“I have been to multiple Medtrades and I love that it’s in Dallas and I love that it’s once per year. The show has been good and I’ve really enjoyed it. Medtrade has the best speakers in the industry. I bring four employees with me and I focus mostly on compliance and education. The others are more focused on the show floor. I brief the employees on my sessions and it’s really good to bring the information back to the office.” — Lisa Wells, Med-South Inc., Jasper, Alabama
“Medtrade has had good foot traffic and productive discussions. We’re seeing jovial people. We’re seeing a lot of people from Texas, but really they are coming from all over the country and even internationally from Guatemala. Perhaps we should avoid conflicting with spring break.” — Rachel Soriano, Cardinal Health At Home, Twinsburg, Ohio
“Medtrade has been great here with the corner booth. We are seeing new dealers, even Californians. They have seen the product and now they get the hands-on experience. — Rob Brant, Portable Outlet, Atlanta
“Medtrade has been great. The new location and the consolidated shows are all positives and we’ve had good foot traffic.” — Andrea Kelley, Pride Mobility
