ARLINGTON, VA – In response to the CMS Proposed Rule to revive the deeply flawed Competitive Bidding Program (CBP), AAHomecare launched a new End User CBP Activation Toolkit to help the HME Industry mobilize end users and family caregivers in submitting comments in opposition.
The toolkit empowers suppliers, manufacturers, and partner organizations to educate and activate a critical but often under-utilized group: end users whose access to care is directly on the line. Resources include:
- Comment guide with clear instructions and talking points
- Educational resources that explain what’s at stake for end users
- Sample e-mail and social media content to help spread the word
“This is an all-hands-on-deck moment,” said Tom Ryan, president and CEO of AAHomecare. “We must activate every corner of the HME community – including the voices of end users and their families – to stop these provisions that would devastate access to care and dismantle the HME infrastructure that makes home-based care possible.”

If finalized, the Proposed Rule would trigger unsustainable pricing, dramatically shrink the supplier network, and destabilize the HME industry – harming millions of Americans and putting long-term access to home-based care at risk.
