
Joseph Lewarski
Senior VP, Clinical Affairs, MHA, RRT, FAARCDrive DeVilbiss HealthcareJoe Lewarski is a Registered Respiratory Therapist, a Fellow of the American Association for Respiratory Care (FAARC), and has been working in leadership positions in healthcare for over 40 years. He started his journey in healthcare in the US Navy, where he served from 1983-1989 as a Hospital Corpsman and
respiratory therapist. Joe holds undergraduate degrees in respiratory therapy and business administration, as well as a master’s degree in healthcare administration. He is currently the Senior Vice President of Clinical Affairs for Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare.
Joe has authored or co-authored over 40 scientific papers, 3 respiratory/pulmonary textbook chapters, and numerous clinical and industry related articles and white papers. He has delivered nearly 150 lectures at professional medical conferences, with a focus on home respiratory care, oxygen therapy,
oxygen technologies, and home ventilation.
Joe has participated in the design and development of numerous portable and stationary oxygen concentrators, along with contributing to the design and development of a number of oxygen conserving devices. Joe transitioned to his current position after serving 6 years as the SVP/GM of the Clinical Care business and North American Manufacturing for Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare. Prior to joining Drive, he held executive leadership positions with Invacare, Inogen, and Omnicare-Hytech Homecare & Pharmacy.
As an industry volunteer and advocate, Joe has previously served on the boards of the AARC and AAHomcare, and remains active on numerous committees and working groups within both organizations. He currently serves on the respiratory therapy program advisory boards of Lakeland Community College and Ursuline College, and recently completed 7 years if service as a Trsutee of the American Respiratory Care Foundation (ARCF).
