WASHINGTON, D.C. – AAHomecare leadership has met with several Administration officials about slowing down the competitive bidding program so the full scope of its effects on the DMEPOS industry can be determined. Following those meetings, the Administration asked AAHomecare for data on the true impact of the Remote Item Delivery (RID) model in Competitive Bidding Round 2028 on suppliers.
In response, AAHomecare has launched a time-sensitive survey to help quantify the program’s potential business and workforce impact. This survey should be taken by all companies providing CGMs, insulin pumps, ostomy supplies, and/or urological supplies to Medicare FFS beneficiaries.
The survey takes less than two minutes to complete and will close on August 28. Individual responses will be kept strictly confidential; AAHomecare will share only aggregated results. For questions, contact Ashley Plauché at [email protected].

AAHomecare has the ear of the Administration and the survey represents an opportunity to continue that engagement. The survey quantifies, with real-world data, the impact this program will have as providers/advocates meet with regulators and lawmakers.
Two Ways to Help
AAHomecare commits to turning survey results around quickly and presenting the aggregated findings to the Administration and the industry for use in advocacy. In turn, providers can complete the survey and/or call Congress to reinforce these messages with representatives. Every response strengthens the case.
