WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Association for Homecare congratulates President-elect Donald Trump on his election victory. We look forward to working with the new administration to advance policies that support homecare providers and improve access to care for all Americans. Our commitment remains steadfast in advocating for the needs of patients and the vital role of high-quality home-based care in our nation’s healthcare infrastructure.
We are eager to collaborate on initiatives that leverage advances in healthcare technology and take advantage of the expertise and commitment to care found throughout our industry. Additionally, we see this as an opportunity to address regulatory challenges and work towards streamlining processes that will benefit both providers and patients. By reducing unnecessary burdens, we can ensure more efficient and effective delivery of essential homecare services.
Sen. John Thune Chosen For Majority Leader
Healthcare is truly a bipartisan issue. We are excited by the opportunity to engage new members of Congress from both parties on the value of HME while we also continue to work with established leaders in both the House and Senate.
Last week we learned that long-time HME champion (and S. 1294 lead sponsor) Sen. John Thune (R-SD) was tapped by his colleagues to serve as Senate Majority Leader when the 119th Congress convenes in January. We appreciate the opportunity to work with Sen. Thune and his team to strengthen reimbursement policies and allow patients and caregivers nationwide to further benefit from cost-effective and clinically proven HME products and services.
