NEMEP Calls For Action
ALBANY, N.Y. – Officials at the Northeast Medical Equipment Providers Association are asking members to ask NY Governor Hochul to take action to address the significant challenges that DME suppliers face with several Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) that have reduced reimbursement on DME products to unsustainable levels.
S.3468/A.3408 would require MCOs to reimburse DME providers at no less than 100% of the state’s published Medicaid durable medical equipment and complex rehabilitation technology fee schedule for the same services and supplies. MAMES Fall 2023 Wraps Up
DULUTH, MN – The fall MAMES 2023: Thriving Together Conference & Display Hall wrapped up earlier this month in Minnesota. MAMES (Rose Schafhauser, executive director [pictured]) represents members from Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and across the country. The conference had record attendance and featured networking opportunities from morning breakfast mingles to lunchtime discussions to MAMESTOCK, the HME Hippie Music Festival — plus the annual pizza and bowling party. The vendor hall featured 60 MAMES Associate Members, Partners, and Event Sponsors.
