3 Years of the Lymphedema Treatment Act: What’s Working, What’s Not, What’s Next
Three years after implementation of the Lymphedema Treatment Act, the reimbursement landscape continues to evolve and so do the opportunities and risks for DMEPOS suppliers.
This session will provide a comprehensive "state of the industry" update on lymphedema compression reimbursement, combining policy, compliance, operations, and business strategy into one practical program. Attendees will receive the latest information on Medicare fee-for-service implementation, Medicare Advantage adoption, Medicaid and commercial payer trends, reimbursement developments, coding updates, and supplier participation across the country.
This presentation brings together two nationally recognized perspectives. Carmen Anderson will review the latest reimbursement, HCPCS coding, coverage policy, and payer developments, while Noel Neil will provide practical compliance guidance drawn from supplier operations, documentation standards, audit preparedness, and regulatory expectations.
The session will also include an update on Medicare program integrity initiatives affecting DME suppliers, including Targeted Probe and Educate (TPE), Comprehensive Error Rate Testing (CERT) findings, and other CMS publications or regulatory developments released prior to the conference. Real-world supplier experiences, common claim deficiencies, and practical strategies for reducing audit risk while improving operational efficiency will be discussed.
Whether you are launching a lymphedema compression program or refining an established operation, attendees will leave with actionable tools to strengthen compliance, improve reimbursement understanding, anticipate future policy changes, and confidently navigate the next phase of the Lymphedema Treatment Act.
