ASHEVILLE, N.C. – HME provider Aeroflow Health, Asheville, NC, has more than 600 employees living in the area hard hit by hurricane Helene. In a recent blog post, they shared details on how they worked to support 55 employees who lost homes, cars, and food by meeting basic needs at no cost to those affected. Aeroflow also offered relief pay to impacted individuals and were supported by remote-based team members who stepped in to cover responsibilities for those unable to work.
Aeroflow quickly began efforts to restore operations to serve patients nationwide, and also took immediate steps to support new mothers in their communities with manual breast pumps and to share incontinence products with local patients and healthcare facilities.
Other companies have stepped in to support Aeroflow, exemplifying the commitment to care that is a hallmark of the home medical equipment field.
“Several competitors have even offered to ship products on our behalf to ensure patients receive the care they need while we regain our footing,” reports Ryan Bullock, chief strategy officer for Aeroflow and AAHomecare Vice Chair. “It’s truly inspiring to see the supplier community rallying together in support.”
