BUENA PARK, CA – Medtrade exhibitor J Med Supplies has continued its steady progress, achieving 25% growth in 2024 and setting its sights on Arizona. “Our journey over the past nine years—from starting in my garage to where we are today—has been filled with challenges and milestones,” says John Amirthiah (pictured), president and CEO of the Buena Park, Calif.-based distributor and wholesale company. “With the addition of new reps and branches in 2025, we’re projecting a 30% increase on the West Coast. We’re proud to be recognized as the largest DME distributor in the region.”
J Med Supplies occupies a large warehouse with more than 50,000 square feet and is looking forward to expanding. These days, Amirthiah sees need in Arizona. “We are going into Arizona because our clients are there and growing with us,” he says. “Clients from Los Angeles are growing, opening up branches in Las Vegas and now in Arizona.”
Amirthiah already has a location in mind for the Grand Canyon state and is aiming for an opening in the third quarter of 2025, in time for Metrade 2026 (March 2-4 in Phoenix where their J Mixer is sure to be a good time). “We are the largest on the west coast,” he enthuses. “There’s no other distributor like us. We have smaller trucks and vans that can easily go into small cities and towns—to Utah, Idaho, Sacramento—we are like a mini Amazon but with a service mindset. We jump through hoops so you don’t have to, and that’s the reason we are growing so fast.”
The Arizona distribution center will ultimately streamline operations, offering efficient local support, quicker response times, and personalized customer service. “As the demand for home healthcare and medical equipment grows, J Med is committed to delivering cost-effective, high-quality products to meet the evolving healthcare needs of those in Arizona,” Amirthiah adds.
J Med has successfully opened distribution centers in Brea, Calif., San Diego, and Las Vegas.
