LAS VEGAS – The infectious enthusiasm of Mike Sperduti is familiar to many regular attendees at Medtrade Spring. When the New York-based industry sage again makes the trip to Las Vegas in 43 days, he will bring a few of his expert friends for a crash course in sales.
Scheduled for Monday, March 30, from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., The Mike Sperduti Sales Management Workshop will feature: Mike Strange, vice president, Emerge Sales Inc; Ryan Ball, director of State Policy/director of OPGA Government Relations, VGM & Associates; and Kenneth Waters, global strategic advisor, Emerge Sales Inc.
“If the best tool I can give is to help attendees with prospecting and lead generation, then shortly thereafter I know they are going to need help selecting good people,” says Ken Waters, founder of Sales/Growth/Solutions, and a former leader of Fortune 100 companies. “Every company needs help hiring people. Mike’s company is a force multiplier, allowing me to do more with less.”
“A majority of the companies out there have absolutely no idea how to sell,” says Sperduti, president and CEO of the Mike Sperduti Companies (Emerge, Renewal Technologies, Phoenix Holdings, Mike Sperduti Train), East Northport, NY. “They have no idea how to put together a strategic plan to grow the business. They don’t know how to increase referral source revenue, or build new referral sources.”
Unlike previous Medtrade Springs, day one (Monday) will also have a full slate of one-hour and/or 90-minute educational sessions on tap. “It makes a lot of sense this year for attendees to get into Las Vegas on Sunday, March 29, or sooner, to have a little more fun in Vegas, and to fully experience the packed day one at Medtrade Spring,” says Kevin Gaffney, group show director, Medtrade. “If you want to do a six-hour workshop on Monday, or if you prefer a varied series of shorter educational sessions, you will have the options on Monday, March 30, day one of Medtrade Spring.”
For those who attend any of three six-hour workshops, or one Fitter’s Course (all scheduled for 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 30), the pay-off is in-depth understanding. After the 6-hour session, attendees may also choose from several educational sessions that go from 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
It all amounts to a lot of knowledge and a tremendous start to a show that is designed to inform and inspire. For those who are hesitant about spending time in a classroom on Monday, March 30, Sperduti has a simple message. “Don’t come,” he deadpans. “Because good is not good enough these days. But if you’re a person who understands that you have to be better than you were yesterday, then we want you at the workshops and/or educational sessions.”
