LAS VEGAS – Space is still available for two new networking events at Medtrade Spring: The HME Breakfast Club and The Audit Happy Hour. Sponsored by Laboratory Tactical Consulting, Strategic A/R and Wheel:Life, the HME Breakfast Club, scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, from 8:30 am – 10:00 am., is a great way to start your day, get inspired, eat some food, and meet other like-minded HME professionals.  

A ticket includes breakfast, time to chat with peers, and Pamela Kaehler (pictured), executive director of Fairmont Home Medical, will give a keynote speech. Kaehler will talk about the role of women in healthcare from the viewpoint of a healthcare professional and a patient. As an HME veteran, mother, and a wife, Kaehler is familiar with the juggling act of modern life, and she is eager to share her wisdom.
The exact content of Kaehler’s talk is still under construction, but Kaehler says:
“My comments will include my perspective and experience in dealing with very complex government systems, and maintaining tenacity and optimism in the face of what can feel like overwhelming challenges. They include striking a balance between the personal and the professional when professional responsibilities at times feel completely overwhelming, and sharing some of my own personal journey in HME and healthcare, and how I believe we can and should increase our effectiveness in working with caregivers…Those are themes I hope to package into a presentation people will hear and leave feeling very upbeat for the prospects for HME, and feeling a renewed sense of excitement for what we all do.”

The Audit “Happy” Hour, sponsored by ACU-Serve, is scheduled for Monday, March 30, from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm in South Pacific I, with speaker Jeffrey S. Baird, JD, chairman, Health Care Group, Brown & Fortunato PC. Audits may not be particularly happy, but figuring out how to navigate them can lighten the mood. Medtrade Spring is making it fun by giving you that opportunity, and a chance to meet with experts at a relaxed networking reception. So grab a glass of wine, beer (audits do drive us to drink, right?!), or coca cola, and meet with audit experts.
