WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Association for Homecare added another HME industry veteran to the team with Stephanie Legree joining as the newly created project manager. Legree brings a wealth of HME experience to the Association from more than 20 years at Binson’s Home Health Care in progressively responsible positions, including her most recent role as co-director of the Business Office & vice president of Government Affairs.
As project manager at AAHomecare, Legree will take over primary management for several of the Association’s highly active, member-driven councils: Medical Supplies, HME/RT, and State Leaders Councils, and will co-manage the Diabetes Council. She will also be partnering with state association leaders working in collaboration with the Payer Relations team.
“I am excited to bring another dynamic industry veteran onto the AAHomecare staff,” said Tom Ryan, AAHomecare President & CEO. “When I came on board in 2013, we had a single staffer with direct HME industry experience – Kim Brummett. With Stephanie joining the team, we now have seven team members with a first-hand understanding of our industry from service in HME.
“Stephanie understands every aspect of HME thanks to work in management, legislative advocacy, billing, operations, and customer-facing roles with a multi-state, full-service HME company,” added Ryan. “In addition, we’ve seen the energy and acumen she brings to the table through her service on AAHomecare’s Regulatory Council and through her legislative advocacy work.”
“I’m very excited for the opportunity to support all AAHomecare members and bring my unique perspective to the table,” remarked Legree. “I’ve grown up in this industry, working for my family company, I am blessed with a global understanding. We are an essential industry and I’m ready to help on a national level.”
In addition to her work at Binson’s and service as vice chair of AAHomecare’s Regulatory Council, Legree is vice chair of the Jurisdiction B Medicare DMEPOS Council and had previously been chair of the Jurisdiction C Council. She will work remotely from her home base in Romeo, Michigan.
