WASHINGTON, D.C. – AAHomecare continues to prepare substantial comments on CMS’ DMEPOS & Home Health Proposed Rule and work with other DME stakeholders to deliver a strong comment response from the industry.
Last week, AAHomecare held a webinar to discuss the most important provisions in the Proposed Rule for more than 400 DME professionals and other stakeholders to help the community understand what’s at stake and prepare to submit impactful comments.
Medtrade Monday readers can find slides and a playback link to the session at the 2025 DMEPOS & Home Health Proposed Rule Resource Page – along with other messaging and materials to inform your comments, and how and where to submit them.
As experts noted in last week’s webinar, the most effective comments will reflect your first-hand experience and explain how provisions in the proposed rule will impact your company, employees, Medicare beneficiaries, and other patients. Do not be overly emotional in your arguments, and do not share any identifiable personal health information.
Our perspectives on important provisions in the Proposed Rule can be found in our Comment Guidance document. Please re-fashion any of these messages you adapt into your own words and augment with your personal experiences, where applicable. You do not have to weigh in on every subject; prioritize the issues you understand the best and that you believe are most important for your business and patients.
Your comments will make a difference as CMS looks to restart the Competitive Bidding program for DME. Comments are due at 11:59pm (ET) on Friday, August 29.
Webinar on Ostomy and Urological Products in the CBP – Aug. 12
Our partners at the ITEM Coalition are working to raise awareness on the potential impacts of including ostomy and urological products in the next round of the Bidding Program.
As part of this effort, they are holding a webinar for stakeholders in this product area on Monday, August 11 (2:00-3:00pm ET) and are inviting our member companies who provide ostomy and urological supplies to join the session. The Zoom-enabled webinar is free, but you must register in advance here. You are also encouraged to share this webinar with any end-users and patient advocates you believe would be interested in this session.
