PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. – Medtrade exhibitor Drive Medical has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Compass Health Brands (also a Medtrade exhibitor), a supplier of branded and private label consumer medical products, including ProBasicsTM, Carex®, and TheraMed® products. Drive and Compass will maintain their separate booths when Medtrade convenes March 2-4 in Phoenix.
The acquisition further strengthens Drive Medical’s product portfolio and expands its ability to serve retailers, consumers, and healthcare providers with innovative solutions. Compass brings a complementary mix of branded and private label offerings, strong customer relationships, and proven capabilities that align closely with Drive Medical’s long-term growth strategy.
“This acquisition represents an important step forward for Drive Medical as we continue to broaden our range of offerings, allowing customers to access a more comprehensive portfolio through a single trusted partner,” said Derek Lampert, CEO of Drive Medical (Booth #1003 at Medtrade).
Compass (Booth #920 at Medtrade) has built a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and customer focus within the consumer medical products market. The company’s product assortment is expected to enhance Drive Medical’s existing offerings and support continued expansion across retail and e-commerce channels.
“Compass has always focused on creating meaningful brands and products that improve everyday care for people,” said Stuart Straus, CEO of Compass. “Joining Drive provides the investment, infrastructure, and global reach needed to accelerate innovation and scale our solutions far beyond what we could achieve independently. Most importantly, I want to thank the Compass team whose commitment, resilience, and customer focus built the foundation that made this next chapter possible.”
Following the transaction, Compass will operate as a division of Drive Medical to maintain continuity for customers, suppliers, and employees, followed by a phased integration into the broader organization. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
