LAS VEGAS – More than 150 manufacturers and service providers have signed on for Medtrade Spring, the Las Vegas version of the nation’s premiere HME event, scheduled for March 30-April 1, 2015, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
“After the holiday season, many more manufacturers start to gear up and make plans for their trade show season,” says Kevin Gaffney (pictured), group show director, Medtrade. “At this point, more than 150 companies have already signed up, and that is a good start.”
Canada-based Broda, makers of manual wheelchairs that are typically purchased and put into rental fleets for hospices or skilled nursing facilities, decided to sign up immediately following this year’s Medtrade show in Atlanta.
“We were at the Las Vegas show last year,” said Sue Wilson, Broda’s vice president of Customer Care, Kitchener, Ontario. “From a regional perspective, we are quite interested in meeting with customers all across North America. I’ve heard that Las Vegas may attract more of the west coast group, and we look forward to meeting with those providers at Medtrade Spring 2015.”
Early Medtrade Spring 2015 registration for HME providers opened last week with people choosing to sign on for considerable savings. “With a solid Medtrade now in the rearview mirror, we have turned our attention squarely to Medtrade Spring,” says Gaffney. “With early registration just now getting online, we had quite a few people sign on last week. Numerous manufacturers are now buying up booth space in what we believe will be an exciting Medtrade Spring in the new year.”
In response to attendee surveys, organizers are creating a friendlier format designed to reduce the overlap between conference sessions and expo floor time.
• A majority of sessions have been moved to Monday (day one).
• With most sessions occurring on day one, attendees will have most of the day Tuesday and all day Wednesday to browse the Expo floor at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
“Finding the right balance of education, networking and time on the expo floor can sometimes be tricky for attendees,” explains Gaffney. “This year’s schedule has been adjusted so that providers can freely roam the floor without missing many of the educational sessions.”
If providers have any questions throughout the registration process, they are encouraged to call: (877) 914-4677 (toll free) or (240) 439-2984 (International residents) between the hours of 9:00 am – 6:00 pm eastern standard time, or email: [email protected].
