WATERLOO, IA – Jim Greatorex of VGM Live at Home, a division of VGM & Associates, has announced his retirement as vice president, beginning in early 2025. A familiar face at Medtrade (pictured here at Medtrade 2024) for decades, Greatorex began his career with VGM in 2015 with more than 30 years’ experience in the HME and home accessibility industry. He has been an integral part of VGM Live at Home as VP, contributing significantly to the growth and success of the home access industry.
His commitment to serving the various needs of home access providers in the community was reflected through the many projects, services, and tools he spearheaded during his tenure at VGM Live at Home. “Jim’s many years of dedicated service to the HME, complex rehab technology (CRT), and home access communities have been truly remarkable,” said Tyler Mahncke, senior vice president, Clinical Mobility and Accessibility. “From his successful years running his own business in Maine to the impactful years at VGM growing our home access division. We deeply appreciate the dedication and passion he has brought to the industry and look forward to continuing to work with him into 2025. Our goal is to ensure a smooth transition so Jim can enjoy more time with his family.”
Part of ensuring a smooth transition includes shifting Cindi Petito’s role of Director of Clinical Network to Director of VGM Live at Home. Petito has more than 29 years of experience in multiple healthcare settings as an OTR/L, including complex rehab technology as an assistive technology professional (ATP), as well as being a certified home accessibility specialist and key opinion leader in home modification and accessibility. She also has more than 20 years of working with both Medicare and Medicaid, commercial insurance companies, and workers comp programs.
“It’s been an honor to work for VGM the last nine-and-a-half years and participate in the home access industry,” states Greatorex. “Working with our passionate Live at Home members and vendor partners has been a blast, and lifelong friendships have been made. I will work with Cindi Petito and the Live at Home team as long as it takes to make sure a smooth, successful transition happens. The home access industry has a very bright future with a decade or more of steady growth, and Cindi and the VGM Live at Home team is ready to continue to help the industry evolve, grow, and professionalize to meet its great potential. I look forward to watching it all happen. My wife Lisa and I have enjoyed the last eight years living in Iowa and all the relationships made in and out of workspace, but it’s time to get back east and be near our family.”
