LAS VEGAS – Every HME provider wants a reliable cash cow, and Golden Technologies showed off an array of strong retail products at the recent Medtrade Spring, all designed to bring in caretailing dollars. C.J. Copley, executive vice president, Sales and Marketing, Golden Technologies Inc, felt a positive vibe at the show that he hopes will continue into 2017. Medtrade Monday chatted with Copley about Medtrade Spring and the products that generated the most excitement at the show.
Medtrade Monday: What were the most frequent questions you heard most at Medtrade Spring?
C.J. Copley, executive vice president, Sales and Marketing, Golden Technologies Inc, Old Forge, Pa: Retailers were full of great questions about what Golden will be doing next and how they can best use Golden Retail Concepts to grow their current business. The show is a great time for Golden to demonstrate, first hand, how to really become successful with our retail products.
Medtrade Monday: What was the biggest “hit” at the Golden booth?
Copley: The Golden Cloud “Cash Cow” chair was a huge hit. The chair has proven to be a retail success providing positive cash flow for retailers in every state. We want to remind retailers that they must find and place as many “cash cows” on their retail floor in order to generate the most dollars per square foot. The Golden MaxiComfort line has proven to be a “Cash Cow Leader” at retail. The Golden Cloud is not to be duplicated and boasts the world’s only patented recline mechanisms, which means Golden retailers have access to something very special.
Medtrade Monday: What was the “vibe” of the show in your opinion?
Copley: The vibe at the Golden space was upbeat and positive. Retailers who made the trip were the first to learn what’s next and how they can take full advantage. Retailers who embrace cash sales are seeing an uptick in top line sales and are eager to find the next cash cow.
Medtrade Monday: What are the advantages of being made in America these days?
Copley: Golden has been Made in America for over 32 years. Our customers have always been proud to represent a long-standing, family owned American company. Having the ability to customize a chair and improve products “real time” has been a true advance. We hear great ideas weekly and consider them each week in product improvement meetings, allowing us to move quickly and provide the latest in quality and innovation.
Medtrade Monday: What are your plans for 2017, and for Medtrade Atlanta?
Copley: Medtrade Atlanta will be here before we know it. The team is working on new concepts to allow our retailers to thrive. We are adding more leaders to the Golden team and setting big goals to challenge ourselves to develop and launch new innovations in comfort, style, and performance. We believe we need to keep an open mind, listen our customers, and follow-up with strong implementation.
