DALLAS – Data extraction specialist Notable Systems has signed on to exhibit at Medtrade 2025, set for Feb. 18-20 in Dallas, Texas. The Denver-based company helps HME organizations automate document processing, data entry, and revenue cycle management.
Notable Systems will also participate in Tech Talks, which is set to return to the Medtrade Expo floor after its debut in 2024. Medtrade Monday sat down with Steve Johnson (pictured), CEO of Notable Systems, to get a better idea of what attendees can expect when they visit Notable Systems’ booth and/or hear their presentation at Tech Talks.
Medtrade Monday: Why did you decide to exhibit at Medtrade 2025?
Steve Johnson: Medtrade serves as a hub of thought leadership and networking for the HME industry, offering countless opportunities to connect with potential partners. Exhibiting this year was an easy decision, giving us a chance to showcase the exciting advancements in our product for the DME industry.
Medtrade Monday: What does Notable Systems do?
Johnson: Notable Systems has been revolutionizing data extraction since 2017. We help HME organizations automate document processing, data entry, and revenue cycle management. By blending advanced AI with human oversight, our solutions deliver industry-leading accuracy and adaptability.
Our technology streamlines data management and workflows throughout the HME revenue cycle management (RCM) process. Notable Systems combines traditional technologies like OCR with cutting-edge AI and LLM capabilities, delivering solutions that accelerate processes and reduce costs. We can process a wide range of medical documents, such as prescriptions, patient demographics, clinical notes, insurance forms, and more—providing customized solutions for each client’s needs.
Medtrade Monday: What can providers expect to see at your Tech Talks presentation?
Johnson: Providers can expect a visual demo of our automation solutions for order intake, payor correspondence, coverage criteria assessment, and more. We will also demonstrate how we have revolutionized order intake and medical criteria review for some of the biggest HME enterprises in the industry, processing millions of orders annually.
Medtrade Monday: Why is document processing so important for HME providers?
Johnson: Hiring, training, and retaining skilled staff is a growing challenge. AI tools that automate key processes in the revenue cycle are essential for scaling HME providers and helping larger companies keep up with an aging population that depends on their products.
Medtrade Monday: What is the biggest misconception about document processing?
Johnson: The biggest misconception is that an out-of-the-box solution is sufficient. HME organizations need tailored solutions that apply specific rules and interpretations of payor requirements. Relying on a one-size-fits-all system will likely cause problems down the line. Our biggest customer, Apria Healthcare, has specifically called out our unique ability to handle the complexities inherent in HME and healthcare, in general.
Medtrade Monday: What is your level of optimism about the future of the HME industry?
Johnson: With rising demand, this is an exciting time! How HME providers respond will determine whether they thrive or consolidate. Solutions like those offered by Notable Systems are helping HMEs move forward quickly, catching up with competitors, and other industries across the U.S.
Notable Systems will participate in Tech Talks at Medtrade 2025. Tech Talks will feature interactive presentations to provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of various tech solutions. Tech-related exhibitors will provide live, half-hour presentations designed to inform and educate. “These presentations are outside of the educational session tracks,” explains Chris Kinard, chief operations officer, Valere Health (sponsor of Tech Talks). “We are going through the list of exhibitors and extending invitations for technology vendors to come and participate.”
