ATLANTA – Medtrade exhibitor Graham-Field recently launched the new AmeriLuxTM Extended Care Bed, engineered to meet the evolving demands of senior living communities, rehabilitation centers, and long-term care facilities.
“We designed the AmeriLux with one mission: to create a bed that not only improves safety and comfort for residents, but meaningfully enhances the workflow of caregivers,” said Peter Loope, president (pictured at Medtrade 2025). “This bed represents the next evolution of thoughtful, evidence-based long-term care design.”
Innovations of the AmeriLux Extended Care Bed
- Ultra-Low Height Range: Low-to-floor capability from 4” to 30” helps reduce fall risk while also providing higher height for caregiver activities and safer entry and exit from the bed.
- Advanced Positioning System: Smooth, quiet articulation allows residents to rest, read, eat, and reposition comfortably with minimal caregiver assistance.
- Integrated Mobility Support: Optional assist rails promote easy repositioning and mobility while preserving resident dignity.
- Durable, Cleanable Construction: The sturdy, no sag reinforced frame built in the USA features the antimicrobial surface protection SilverSolutions built into the paint to support rigorous infection-control protocols.
- Modern Design for Senior Living: Sleek, black frame finish with optional personalization by adding wooden side boards for a cozy, home-inspired aesthetics that blend seamlessly with today’s long-term care environments.
With staffing shortages and rising acuity levels across the long-term care landscape, AmeriLux aims to streamline care and reduce strain on caregivers. The ultra-low height and optimized ergonomics help minimize lift-related injuries, while built-in technology and smooth functionality support safer, more efficient daily routines.
“Residents deserve comfort and dignity, and caregivers deserve equipment that makes their demanding jobs easier,” added Loope. “The AmeriLux delivers on both.”
