LAS VEGAS – Medtrade Spring exhibitor Brightree® has enhanced integration capabilities with its HME billing and business management module and AirView™ and myAir™, ResMed’s cloud-based sleep and respiratory care patient management and patient engagement platforms.
Enhanced capabilities include:
• creating and updating patients in AirView, minimizing duplicate data entry;
• receiving automatic patient compliance notifications from AirView, eliminating the need to check multiple systems; and
• inviting patients to register with myAir, helping to engage patients in their own therapy from the start.
The latest enhancements integrate within Brightree’s Document Management module. This connection enables HME providers to efficiently perform regular compliance/therapy adherence checks and maintain audit compliance.
Specifically, providers can automatically retrieve and store patient compliance reports from AirView directly into Brightree Document Management for provider reference, audit compliance and easy communication to physician referral sources.
Compliance report storage frequency can be configured so HME providers can automatically receive a download of an initial compliance report in addition to ongoing 30-, 60- and 90-day reports.
“As the healthcare industry shifts to an outcomes-based model, Brightree and ResMed are working to provide innovative, seamless solutions to create greater visibility into performance and smarter decision making,” said Matt Mellott, Brightree’s president and CEO. “Integrating the AirView patient management platform provides Brightree users added capabilities to optimize business efficiencies and workflows in the HME environment, helping providers focus on improving patient outcomes.”
F&P Healthcare Shows Off Award-Winnning Mask at Medtrade Spring
LAS VEGAS – Prior to exhibiting at the recent Medtrade Spring, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare’s F&P Brevida™ mask won a Product Design award from independent German design organization, iF International Forum Design GmbH.
The iF Design Awards, run annually since 1953, are considered one of the most respected competitions recognising outstanding design from around the world.
The F&P Brevida is a nasal pillows mask, used for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). “Our goal for Brevida was to create a truly user friendly experience when it comes to assembling, fitting and using the mask,” said Jason Huang, senior product development manager. “As a result, the Brevida is very lightweight, has adjustable headgear and an innovative AirPillow™ cushion which inflates to form a pillow of air in and around the nose for a gentle and effective seal. We’ve also added colour cues to help with mask orientation and assembly. It’s all about making the mask easy and comfortable to use, so patients are confident with their therapy.”
This year’s award had a panel of 58 judges assessing over 5,500 entries from 59 countries. Designs were evaluated against a criteria of brand identity, usability/ergonomics and aesthetic/design quality.
“This is a global acknowledgement from independent experts on the quality of our product design,” said Huang. “Our design process is all about doing what’s best for the patient, so it’s great to have that recognised with this award.” This is the third time Fisher & Paykel Healthcare has been acknowledged at the iF Design Awards, after winning awards for the F&P Pilairo™ mask and Optiflow™ Junior nasal cannula in 2012.
