TT14: Armory DME
Tech Talk by Armory DME.
Armory Medical’s tech talk walked through how our Voice AI layer enables reliable, HIPAA-conscious patient communication for durable medical equipment (DME) workflows that are traditionally high-friction for both patients and operations teams. The core idea is simple: meet patients where they already are—on the phone—and automate the repetitive, time-sensitive conversations that drive resupply, scheduling, and compliance outcomes.
For resupply, Voice AI can proactively reach out at the right interval, confirm eligibility and preferences, capture item-level needs, and route exceptions (e.g., insurance changes, clinical questions, unreachable patients) to a human queue with full call context. For scheduling, it can offer available appointment windows, confirm details, send reminders, and handle common reschedules or cancellations—reducing no-shows and staff back-and-forth. For compliance, it supports structured check-ins and required attestations, validates key responses, and flags risk signals for follow-up, creating a consistent, auditable record.
Operationally, the system plugs into existing DME tools via APIs and workflows, logs dispositions automatically, and delivers measurable lift: higher contact rates, faster cycle times, and fewer manual touches. The talk emphasized practical deployment—starting with narrow, high-volume use cases—then expanding coverage as accuracy, integrations, and guardrails mature.
