Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC) has been able to meet most of the needed items that FEMA has requested for Puerto Rico hurricane relief, but Chris Brand, FODAC’s president and CEO reports that shower equipment, CPAPs and masks, nebulizers, hearing aids, and other mobility aids such as four-point canes are also needed. “We have already sent 58 pallets to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands for FEMA to deliver to people who are waiting for benefits to provide a replacement (if possible),” says Brand. “Drive Medical and MK Battery have been the largest donors for Harvey, Irma, and Maria relief. FODAC is also trying to make sure vendors and FEMA know how to access the disaster relief waivers and forms to replace DME items.” Chris Brand can be reached via e-mail: [email protected]
