MILWAUKEE – AAHomecare’s Board of Directors recently met in Milwaukee to identify priorities and opportunities to strengthen the Association’s offerings over the next two to three years.
Board members engaged in discussions on a range of issues and insights drawn from a detailed survey of industry stakeholders and refined by the Strategic Planning Committee and AAHomecare staff. Breakout groups went deeper in three overall subject areas: 1) Education, Industry Resources & Value of HME; 2) Advocacy & Operational Assistance for Non-FFS Medicare/Medicaid Payers; and 3) Communications & Stakeholder Outreach.
“Our strategic planning meeting was one of the most high-energy and effective AAHomecare Board sessions I’ve ever taken part in, either as a Board member or in my time as CEO,” remarked Tom Ryan. “I really appreciate the effort our attendees put into this, as well as their willingness to ‘think big’ on issues that will impact the HME community in the years ahead.”
“I’d like to especially thank our Chairman, Josh Marx for spearheading this effort and getting his peers on the Board to really buy into the process,” added Ryan. “In addition, Nick Bush and Direct Supply provided a great venue with their Innovation Center hosting the session.”
The Strategic Planning Committee and full Board will continue to meet virtually to refine the dozens of major issues and ideas identified in the session into a cohesive plan.
