LAS VEGAS – If you’re making the trip to Medtrade Spring, you have the opportunity to come back with a respected credential that differentiates your company.
“The Durable Medical Equipment Specialist (CDME) credential proves the professional competency of the certification holder and gives HME providers a competitive edge over other HME businesses that don’t have CDMEs on staff,” says Carrie Green, marketing manager, Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC). “Achieving CDME certification requires minimal investment, and the certification will provide an ongoing benefit to HME providers and the customers they serve.”
A six-hour workshop on day one (Monday, Feb 27) of Medtrade Spring can go a long way toward helping providers prepare for the Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) Certified Durable Medical Equipment Specialist (CDME) exam, which takes place two days later on Wednesday, March 1.
The Certified DME Specialist (CDME) is a person who demonstrates broad knowledge of the DME/supply industry, including prescription verification, intake process, product selection, dispensing and setup, documentation, billing, compliance, and performance management. The workshop will cover the scope of practice for the CDME. Discover the value of the CDME for facilities in a challenging industry climate and how to market the credential to customers, referral sources, and third party payors.
