AMARILLO, TX – Invacare’s long-time senior VP of Government Relations, Cara C. Bachenheimer, is set to launch a new DC Lobbying Office of Brown & Fortunato, P.C. The move is set to take effect on June 1, 2018.
Brown & Fortunato, P.C. is a Texas-based law firm with a national health care practice representing pharmacies, HME suppliers, home health agencies, hospitals, manufacturers, labs, and other health care providers. Jeff Baird, chair of the firm’s National Health Care Group said, “We are excited that Cara is joining our firm. Cara’s expertise, coupled with our core practice areas, creates an exciting synergy.”
In her new affiliation, Bachenheimer will be expanding her services in government relations, legislative, and regulatory matters. Bachenheimer’s first client will be Invacare Corp, where she has served for more than 14 years. “I appreciate Invacare’s continued support as I step away to help other businesses understand the impact of and help shape future health care legislation and regulations,” said Bachenheimer. “I am pleased to continue to support Invacare’s government relations and lobbying efforts as a consultant for the company.”
Bachenheimer is an attorney, lobbyist, and expert on legislative and regulatory matters related to Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party payment programs. For 30 years, she has shown her commitment to the industry working closely with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other federal agencies.
Bachenheimer is a long-time speaker/presenter at Medtrade Spring and Medtrade.
